Poor DS, I do hope everything works out OK for him.  How he rode and walked that far after the accident is amazing.  Good luck with the tests for him Fruity.

Oh that's terrible fruity. Thinking of you and hoping it all goes as best as possible for him. Big hug from me and a slap on the back of the head for his mates.

Oh fruity, I don't think you can put him back together, you will have to wait until he mends naturally. Your poor thing. I do hope your DS is ok.

Boys. Grrrr.   Why do they have to be such ....... well, boys!

I hope his neck is ok and I hope his ankle heals well.  My DH snapped his ankle a couple of years ago, pins plates, plaster and crutches for a while but healed well and the pins came out a year later and touch wood, no problems.

Keep us updated as to his condition and yes buy him a new helmet, they are designed to take just one big thump.
I do the best I can

Thank you everyone, this was on a PUSH bike, not a motor bike, and DH checked his helmet, said it's fine, only a few scratches, I said no way another new helmet is required before he rides again.

GOod news, MRI came back clear, no neck damage. Now a waiting game one the ankle bone.

Good news on the MRI results, fruity. I do hope the ankle heals well and he doesn't have any problems later on.
Boys!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
