That is a lovely thought Bedlam. I'm sure folks wouldn't mind making one extra of goodie bag things.  I should shut up as I'm not coming, but I still think it is a great idea. The goodie bag is such fun. Like Christmas but no hankies, socks and jocks.  :D

Anyone can have an opinion Cookie, coming or not.  The first forumfest is still fresh in everyone's minds - people don't forget these things, great memories.

I'm very jealous now that you are really locking things in, looks like you will be having a great time. Such a shame about this trip, I have travelled much for work in the past 18 months and the two trips I have had have been at a time that means I have missed out on things I was really wanting to participate in. Thank goodness for the catch up at Chookies.

Updated information so that you don't have to go looking for these details.

Just a few numbers for those wanting to know.

Staying in town on the Thursday night - 8 of us - Amanda,  Gretchen, Judy, CC,  Uni, MF, Bedlam. djinni
"       "              Friday night -  8 of us    - Frozzie, Gretchen, Judy, CC, Uni, MF, Bedlam, djinni
          "       "              Saturday night - 8 of us - as above
"       "              Sunday night - only Uni & now djinni who is staying on for work purposes

Available Friday for the market tour at 9.30am led by Amanda  - 11 of us - Amanda, ES, Frozzie, Gretchen, Judy, CC, Uni, MF, Bedlam, Trudy, djinni.

followed by the Haigs chocolate factory tour at 1.30pm - 11 of us - Katie, ES, Frozzie, Gretchen, Judy, CC, Uni, MF, Bedlam, Trudy, djinni.

Saturday bus trip to Hahndorf & surrounding towns - 12 of us - ES, Frozzie, Gretchen, Judy, CC, Katie, Karen, Uni, MF, Bedlam, kmw, djinni

Saturday night dinner at the Crowne - 14 of us -  ES & DH, Frozzie, Gretchen, Judy, CC, Katie & DH, Karen, Uni, MF, Bedlam, kmw, djinni.

Sunday at Glenelg & High Tea - 11 10 of us - ES, Frozzie, Judy, CC, Katie, Uni, MF, Bedlam, kmw, Trudy, djinni.

On these numbers a 13 seater bus will suffice for our trip to Hahndorf and other paces in the hills as we only have 12 confirmed at the moment.  The cost is $40 per person and lunch will be at your own expense somewhere in Hahndorf.

Final date for confirmation is set down for 8th July ladies.

ES has given us this information about parking for locals coming into the Crowne to meet for the bus trip etc. There is a car park in Rundle St near Target and they have an early bird special. Parking is only $12 for the day if you get there before 10am. The other thing to note for the locals is that you can park at Adelaide Uni on weekends for $5 which may be useful on the Saturday as the bus is leaving from the hotel.

There is also a free bus that goes around the city linking Hindmarsh square to the market  - 99C. It's an option if people don't want to walk. The other option is to walk down Rundle Mall and catch the free tram to the market.

I've added some parking information for locals in the above thread.  Today I went to town to check out where our hotel is and Uni's as well - I don't frequent the city at all so I just needed to work out a few things in my mind.  I also walked from the market back to the Crowne in 15 minutes - mind you, it seemed a lot longer to me than that though as it is some distance  :-))  Rundle Mall is just around the corner though so that's an easy one.

OK girls, another suggestion has come to light from ES regarding a trip to Gaganis Bros in Hindmarsh after the Haigs tour.  ES, Karen and Katie will be available to either drive anyone interested or if others prefer to go back into town to wander the shops etc, there are enough cars to meet our requirements.

Please indicate if you would like to go to Gaganis Bros and I'll start another list .

Gaganis is not far from me so I frequent it often - last time setting myself up with a new TM was dangerous  :)
