OK girls, here I am. Just made one final phone call to check for numbers and can now officially let you know there are
13
14 including my DD Jo.
Note - I previously said 13 but unfortunately I left one person off the list. Sorry if you have already bought 13 gifts, just leave me out of the equation as it was my fault I gave you the wrong number

Frozzie, if you want to get it sent direct to Adelaide, then PM me and I can give you my address. I am happy to collect it and give it to you when you get here.

Since I am arriving early on Thursday I will be thinking of dinner. I ain't coming all that way for a Big Mac so looking at cheap, cheerful and interesting place to eat.

I don't get out much these days, but there are lots of great places in Rundle Street. Restaurants are always opening and closing and there is a good mix of Asian and Italian places. I will have a think....... Sad cafe is supposed to do great coffee

The restaurant scene in Cairns is pathetic so I will be looking for something interesting , fresh, tasty and something we don't have here. I know there are hundreds in Adelaide to choose from.

Gert, I've eaten at Loucas and it was ok, but not exceptional. I have a soft spot for Paul's in Gouger St. It isn't a flash restaurant, but the grilled seafood platter is consistently good.
House of Chow has been around for a long time and I haven't been there since they moved to their new location, which was at least 10 years ago. If you want Asian, I would recommend Ying Chow in Gouger St. It's a small unassuming restaurant, but the food is always good, reasonably priced, and Interesting. They don't take bookings, and the walls are adorned with the menu in Chinese.

Good choices ES. I could eat my around Gouger street. I used to love Gouchos but now it is just sort of a steak house and no offal I believe!
Sooooooo many good restaurants and none of them here. BEWAAAAAAA!!
