Will have to give this a miss as this is the weekend we fly out. Looks like a 2 yearly event for us.  Sorry to miss it ,  and would encourage all those who can,  to try and go.   It certainly adds an extra layer to  Forum interaction.  As Judy says you can't please everyone.

Now that this is in August, I will be able to come!  Count me in as a definite - but I wont need accomodation - I will stay at home and come along for the tours and meals.

I was wondering if some alternate cheaper accommodation would also be possible.  my DH and I have stayed in and around Adelaide several times over the last couple of years and we have not had to pay more than  $120 for the room a night.  We usually check out the prices on Wotif.  We then check with Trip advisor.

Chookie - I'm sure there would be cheaper places.  However, this hotel is great value, brilliantly positioned and includes a buffet breakfast.

I'm afraid I just don't have the time to be chasing up alternatives, but I'm sure you will be able to find one on Wotif.

I'm happy with the hotel. I'm just looking at flights and I can fly free using my Woolies Frequent Flyer Card. I'm coming the day before and leaving the day after, then going on to Melb to see my niece for 6 days before flying back home.

Just checking with niece and sister to meet her in Melb before booking flights. Excited!!

Just caught up with all this, I have to be in Queensland for my niece,s wedding on the 24th, and am going to take my caravan and make a holiday of it, so sorry I won't be there this time.

Hopefully you can count me in for that as well Gretchen ;D

This thread will probably be quiet over the Christmas period but early next year will get a bit of a move on.

I really really want to go to this but DH is going to take a lot of convincing. So will need a few months to work on him before I commit.

Is it clear yet when the cut-off time for commitment to attend will be?

Cool. I'd really like to make it but the first half of 2013 is going to be mad for me so not sure how many plans I can make!

Bumping this as it had fallen down to page 6 due to inactivity over Christmas.
