We leave next Saturday and arrive Cairns around 8pm. Staying overnight in a hotel in cairns then going to port douglas Sunday morning. Staying at a friends place. Will try to take a drive over to yungaburra. :)  how long in the car? Haven't made any plans yet as only confirmed although we have been talking about it for a few months. Used Qantas points going via Alice springs and back via brisbane. DH wants to play a round of golf while there  :)

Lovely that you are coming up here to visit.

I live about a kilometre off the Captain Cook Highway which is the main  road from Cairns to Port Douglas. From Cairns to Port Douglas is about an 70 minutes .

Robyn lives up the hill and back a bit from me. It is about 90 min from my house .

From Port Douglas to Yungaburra would be at least 2.5 hours.

Google maps will show you Caravonica Yungaburra Port Douglas  and Cairns. I am 15 minutes north from the airport. Cairns is 10 minutes south of the airport. Therefore I am 25 minutes or less from the CBD.

If you were staying in Cairns it would be easy to meet up. Not so sure about Port Douglas.

It is coolish at night but is warm to hot during the day. At the moment it is 23.2 degrees in my house. It is fully dark now at 1815. The water temperature in my pool is 19 degrees. Today I wore a sleeveless dress and sandals to Yorkey's Knob Boating Club for lunch.  On my bed I have a sheet and light cotton blanket. The sun comes up about 0645.

I was at Port Douglas last Sunday for the market. It was hot. Hat needed for some.

I am assuming you are getting a car at the airport?
