It's a very small piece of beef.
My silverside joints in the freezer are much bigger.
Good well hung silverside of beef can be roasted, and cheaper less hung versions are usually pot roasted.

I like the sound of this one, but will have to cook longer.
I think it is a sort of corned beef variation but without the salt petre or current equivalent.

Hmmm difficult decision :-\  I would probably cut it half.Double the spice mixture to marinade the two pieces of beef.Then cook the beef pieces for 27 minutes.What do you think of that?

Browned the beef as per recipe then cooked the beef in the oven for 36 mins as it weighed 600g.Now letting it cool then I'll wrap it ;D

Loved this, I ended up cutting into two pieces and doing one.  Wished now I had done both pieces and will definitely make again.  Thanks CC for sharing the recipe.

Doubled recipe and did two pieces. Thanks CC we really like this and will do again. Much better than silverside :)
