I can't remember how many I wanted. Maybe 3 to start with. But ended up having 5 which is perfect. My two oldest boys are from a previous relationship. Then DH and I had 2 girls so it was only fair to try for a boy for DH, and luckily The last one was a boy :)
I found going from 1 to 2 was a shock to the system then going from 2 to 3 made no difference. 3 to 4 was full on and 5 just fitted in perfect :)

I always wanted 5 kids, DH always wanted an even number so says 4 or 6.....we have 3!!  :)

You're still young astarra ;) :D

I always wanted 3 but stopped at two. The youngest was born quickly and 10 pounds 7 ounces. DH is a twin too so was really scared to try again!

Twins usually skip a generation Kimmy, so you should be safe ;D Its your kids that will have to worry about double trouble!

My grandad was a twin and my dads brother was a twin. He and his wife had twins. DH 's grandma was a twin and she also had twins.
So far none of our siblings have had twins and none of our kids have.
I don't think I would have liked having to cope with 2 at once but I guess if it happened you would manage fine.
I was very happy with four and have more grandchildren than I ever imagined which is great  ;D

I wouldn't count on twins skipping a generation....my Grandad and Nana (dad's parents) have: twin brother and sister, twin daughters, twin grand daughters (1 of the twin daughters had twin daughters!) , and twin great grandsons.
My Great grandma on mum's side had....3 sets of triplets, 2 sets of twins and 1 single.  :o (Not all of them lived tho.  :( ) and then had triplet grandkids and twin great grandkids.
But on DHs side it has skipped a generation... Mil's mum had twins, now DH's brother has twins!!  ;D
:D

Okay, so it sounds like it must be a myth! :-)) ;D
I would love to have twins, but it doesn't run in our family. Unless that is another myth? ;)
Astarra... wow, your poor great grandma!

You could have twins by freak of nature Amy, or it could run in your future DH's family!!  ;)

Thats funny Suzanne, having twins that aren't twins :D

You could have twins by freak of nature Amy, or it could run in your future DH's family!!  ;)

Good point astarra! That is now part of the criteria for any potential DH's ;D

Tell that to my uncles wife Amy. Her mum is a twin who had two sets of twins (my aunty being one). My Aunty then had twin boys and one of those boys had twin girls born last year! No generation skip there!
