Husband's Surprise Gift
« on: January 13, 2013, 01:32:44 pm »
Hi Everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. My husband bought me my fabulous Thermomix as a surprise 2 weeks before we had our 3rd baby (2 months ago). I had been begging him for a while but he could not see the value in them. A good friend of ours is a consultant and invited our circle of friends (husbands and all) over for a demo... well several cocktails later he was also a huge fan, and a couple of weeks later my friend delivered one to me. Now that my daughter is 8 weeks old I have a bit more time to experiment I can't wait to get some great recipes and advice from here   :)

Hi EA and welcome to the forum.  It's always a great idea getting the husbands along to a demo, they are usually won over when the see this little baby in action. Help yourself to our recipes and in time please do share some of your recipe conversions with us too.

Congratulations - on both your new baby and your new machine!

I don't think my husband would have been too keen without seeing a demo either - in fact even when we first got it he seemed a bit unsure.  But he was just saying over the weekend that he'd definitely buy one again.

I'm sure your TMX will be a big help in keeping your crew fed and happy.    ;D

Welcome ella*ava. What a wonderful husband to give you a surprise like that. My DH was the driving force behind us getting ours too. He tasted a rice pudding made in it and was ready to buy.
Let us know how things go with your new machine. It is always lovely to bread thermomix stories.
