I came across this recipe in
Ping's Pickings blogspot and thought I'd give it a go as it was so easy.
Name of Recipe: Strawberry Jam Ice-cream
Number of People: This quantity 2-3 people but it could be increased
Ingredients:1/2 cup strawberry jam (I used Tenina's from FFS)
1/4 cup thickened cream (65g)
1/4 cup skim milk (55g)
1/2 cup cream extra (130g) - lightly beaten until fluffy. Because it was such a small amount, I used a stick blender for this.
Preparation:Mix the jam, cream and milk together in the TM bowl - 10 sec/speed 5.
Fold through the beaten cream with a spatula.
Scrape into a small container and place in the freezer - it will set solid.
Remove from fridge before serving.
Members' commentsKimmyh - Have whipped this up for children's dessert tonight. Really quick to make. Have frozen it into 4 silicone cupcake moulds which are a great size for my children. Should be easy to pop out into their bowls to serve.
