Had another go at looking for the discussions of the TMX on the MC forum tonight and finally found them.  I hate reading all the negativity from people who haven't a clue about the machine - how can they possibly judge when they don't know the full capabilities of the machine.  Just because it is expensive, you get all this rubbish on forums putting it down. Makes my blood boil.

I'm with you JD, I hate people slagging off our Thermomix!  Ive seen the same thing on a few parenting forums I lurk around and I feel that no matter how hard you argue the case you just cant change their attitude, unless of course they actually see it!

Really does make me wonder WHY did TMX HQ not gear up their team to have as many consultants/users ready to jump in and flood the discussions with positives??

They would sell even more Thermomixes if TMX Oz HQ organised themselves better with advertising and promotion and made sure that there were more positives than negatives i.

If there were more "average Jos/Joes" syaing - hey I'm not a mulit-millionaire w**ker and I bought a Thermomix. They are great because ..... and have lots of people flooding the press/internet with fantastic comments/recommendations.

At present, lots of people will be saying - it is a lot of money to pay and they seem to be absolute crap with service - I sent them 3 emails and haven't heard a b**dy thing.  What will they be like once I buy a machine.  FORGET IT !!!  I'll buy a Kenwood/Kitchen Aid - less hassle -just have to go to the shop and hand over some readies and can get it straight away.

Really, it is sad for consultants - as you say - there's lots of negativity on forums etc and it should be possible to change that with very little effort - but concerted and thought out effort.

Now say what you really think Thermomixer ;D ;D ;D  I'm with you all the way, you are certainly doing your bit to bolster the image of the TMX as are us owners & demonstrators when we get the opportunity.

I certainly agree with all the earlier comments. I was buying some rye seeds a couple of days ago and saying that I was making bread and the manager said 'have you got one of those thermo things?'. It was nice to hear that.
A couple of the forums that I occasionally follow have been very negative.  As you say, they need to see them in action.
The friends we had round yesterday are even thinking about it and they are pensioners. The had seen it many times before but I think the easo of making soup and then the Master Chef sabayon won them over.

i tried to explain on another forum that you couldn't understand it or judge it without seeing it (as in you couldn't appreciate its value and what it does) and just got howled down and told i was on my high horse etc. i won't go and argue it again, there's just no point with people like that.

That sounds like the forum I'm thinking of Karen. I hardly go on there anymore.

It's such a shame people are ready to bag the TM31 without seeing it in action.  Thank you to everyone on the forum for spreading the word about the wonderful TM!  I really appreciate the effort that you put into the forum.  I've had a couple of customers who have decided to buy a TM31 after reading the forum.
Happy cooking everyone!

How many people out there do you think would get so emotionally attached to their "other" kitchen appliances (I'm not game to name a brand after noticing my earlier post was deleted - I think for mentioning 2 internet providers?? - SORRY!!!).

I haven't heard of anyone being so passionate about their mixer, food processor, grill etc.  And here we are - an extremely passionate group about our Thermies.  Perhaps because we call all share first hand how much it has really changed our lives!

hmm i didn't notice any posts being deleted (and haven't been told to delete any like that either) but i totally agree. i have said that before on other sites. people are not this passionate about any other kitchen appliance! (i think half the KA attraction is the funky look and people do love them, but not as passionately as the tmx)
