Be careful Gretchen, that snake is going to be very annoyed if it can't get out by itself so it may be angry at you if you try and help it.  Get DH to do the dirty work, you stand clear  ;D

ROFLMAO! DH!  OMG!  You should have seen him when the snake  dropped in the bucket. The snake was  so scared of DH and his reaction it retreated faster than Ted did. Nearly had to give DH mouth to mouth not to mention the snake!

I think you win the bravery award for the forum for this century Gert. Ill deal with your cockroaches and mice. You can keep the snakes.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I am sure you have had your share of all these critters in your travels cookie. What about spiders?

Dealing with critters ain't bravery. It may be foolhardy though.

Oh Gert  :D :D :D Too funny. I'm sitting in front of my PC with tears rolling down my cheeks. Snakes were part of the landscape in Qld. We had a resident tree snake in CQ that though our bathroom vanity was a tree. Used to scare the $%^# out of me in the middle of the night. Also had snakes sleeping in the washing machine. Nasty surprise when you opened the lid :o Never seen one in a drain though. Fascinating...

How do they get in the house and in the washing machine.. I wouldnt sleep!!

LOL! not brave at all. They don't bite and are very pretty. It may have been annoyed  though.

Believe me a snake is not as scary as assisting an incompetent surgeon with a scalpel  in his hand  and an unconscious  patient on the table. Trust me.
