Oh you have all made my day! Thank you so much for the kind wishes. I haven't been on the forum this week so I missed this post - thank goodness Judy emailed and alerted me!
What a lovely community the Thermomix Forum is.

Don't worry I didn't make my own cake - my friend made me a cake in the shape of a Thermomix! She is very talented. Once I have taken the photos from my camera I will upload it for you all to see. It certainly got a few laughs.

so sorry about the wait! i have only just got round to downloading the photos from my camera. here is a photo of my thermomix cake, it doesnt really do it justice (i didnt take a close up sadly!), but you get the idea. it was also hollow inside and filled with lollies
