Hello from US!
« on: July 09, 2013, 03:05:30 am »
Hello everyone!

We have just moved to US from Australia and had to sell my beloved tmx due to the voltage difference. We are getting ours from Canada now.

I have a little one who is about to turn 1 and am sorely missing cooking as we are in a temporary corporate accomodation until this weekend. I haven't really had the chance to utilize the TMX as much as I would like to due to severe morning sickness during the first 19 weeks! And new bub.  Hoping to now to experiment and try out more new recipes!

Mary

Hello Mary, welcome to the forum.  Your situation proves we cannot live without our Thermomixes and once you take delivery of your new one then hopefully you will get a lot more use from it now that things have settled down.  You have come to the right place to find all the inspiration you need to put you on the right track.  Have a good read, pick out some recipes and be ready to go.  Have fun and enjoy your new home and new country when you move this weekend.

Hi Mary, welcome to the forum.  Hopefully you won't be kept waiting too long before your new TM arrives and you can then get back into the swing of things.  Good luck!!

Hi Mary, welcome to the forum, have you seen the new book out called "Thermomix Cooking For Your Baby and Toddler " by Louise Faulton Keats, my DD says it's great and my DGS loves everything she has cooked from it.

Hi Mary - what part of the US are you in?  I can just imagine how envious your new American friends are going to be of your new TMX!!  Looking forward to hearing how you're getting on over there.  Is this a permanent move??

Hi Mary and welcome to the Forum.  Wishing you all the best with your new TMX - your new home and your new baby.  Sounds like quite a learning curve.
You haven't failed at anything until you stop trying.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I have lurked and used so many recipes from here and figured its about time I join in!

TMX should be here next week! I can't wait! I am sooo sick of takeaways and sandwiches!!

Hey goldfish, we are in San Francisco for now. Nope definitely not a permanent move. It's an awesome city. Very Melbourne like vibe only sunnier. However, I would like to be back in Australia for when DD starts school plus I have paused my work registration and have only 3 years before i have to start doing refresher courses etc.

I did see that! I was reading the reviews on it and was contemplating getting it!
