Interesting,  Deedub.  Can't wait to try this myself. 
Poor Ral has a Staf infection.  But a treatable one. Looks like he will be in hospital for a couple more weeks. 
Paul took me up to Cherokee today,  he mowed the lawn and filled the wood boxes. I did a general tidy up, did washing and cooked us lunch.
Will be nice to eventually go home.

Chookie there is not a doubt  my mind that this infection is iatrogenic . I sincerely hope it is not a methicillin resistant strain.. I am sure he is on a drip with antibiotics given in the bag. I hope so anyway. As soon as the drip is removed I would be taking him home and if you can't manage then getting some home nursing to assist.  I really hate this and it makes me livid so don't get me started. Enough is enough for Ral and you both.

Once he is well enough then hightail it home where he is safe. Don't for goodness let any bugger near him without visible hand cleaning , especially the doctors. Buy a big bottle a alcohol based hand cleaner and wipe every bl**dy thing  he touches and don't you get sick either.

I could just scream I am so angry. I want nasal swabs of everyone near him. Lemme at em!

Sorry to hear that Chookie, hoping DH will be home soon.  My DH ended up with a staph infection also when he went into hospital a few years back now.  They could not give antibiotics so we were on our own.  Our doctor told us it was the staph and the hospital variety.  It seems to be par for the course these days, go in without it and come home with it.

So sorry to hear this Chookie, you were so close to going home.  Gert is on the money there and knows how these things happen so I can understand why she's livid.  Glad you were able to have a day at home doing normal things.  Love to you both.

Oh Chookie what an absolute bugger. I agree with Gert and sincerely hope it is not the bad staph infection.
Keep an eye on everyone treating him and that they wash their hands.
Most importantly take care of yourself. It was good that you could get back home for a short while.

So sorry to hear about the set back for your DH.  I hope he starts to improve soon. I can only agree with everyone else about making sure that anyone that goes near him has washed their hands with some sort of antibacterial hand wash.  Make sure you look after yourself as well.
