Gert

It would be the same for MF if she was home.  :'(

Had a great day yesterday here in Moscow. We had a tour into the city and saw many buildings from the Stalin era. Not pretty!
Went into red square and had a ride on the metro. Each station is amazing and all fitted out in marble. We saw so many statues and buildings but unfortunately I can't remember all the names.  In the evening we went to a classical music performance which was fabulous then back to the boat for a late dinner? Visiting inside  the kremlin tomorrow, as well as St Basil's cathedral and the armoury. Just had lunch now and going to the Cosmonaut museum soon. Cloudy here today and some light drizzle here early morning. Surprisingly not cold during the daytime.

Spiced carrot soup for lunch.

Lovely  looking mixed salad

Pork in sour cream with potatoes and mushrooms

Austrian cheesecake with a strange  texture. Looks like fake cream as well. Probably one of those canned things the Yanks love!!  Was it MF?

This looks yummy. Love the old fashioned glass.

Yes it was fake cream Gert and the cheesecake had a curdled texture. DH didn't eat it.
Ice cream was delicious and overall the food has been pretty good so far.
Plenty of choice on the menu at each  meal and always grilled chicken, salmon or steak available if nothing on the menu appeals.
Off to the Cosmonaut museum now :)

Looking good.  Whatever is on those threes. Looks like chains and locks.

It'll be interesting to hear the story behind that photo Gretchen.  Maybe tourists place their locks on there ??

MF,  have just caught up with your wonderful holiday.  Thanks to you and Gert for the photos.  The locks on the trees and often on bridges in Europe are when lovers make a commitment .  They lock the lock and throw away the key.  I am enjoying every minute of your holiday.  Thanks for sharing.
