Recipe review Spiced fruit scrolls QFITT page 190
« on: September 09, 2013, 09:27:04 am »
I made a batch of these before CC came to stay but unfortunately we didn't get around to having any.  I just reheated one tonight, should have had 2 - they are very nice.  No cream or ice-cream on hand at the moment so will post a photo another time when I can present it nicely.

Looking at the photo in the cookbook, mine is nowhere near as orange as Alyce's, mine looks like all apple even though I followed the recipe with the correct quantities of both the apple and dried apricots.  Don't know why this would be unless Alyce used organic apricots and this is the difference.

I've always had my eye on this recipe JD. I think they would be great little standbys to have in the freezer.

Picture of the scrolls - I'd call them rolls though  ;)

True Judy. I have a 'thing' for Royal Doulton. I am very fortunate as I had a fair bit and then when Mum died I inherited a heap more. Fortunately DD likes it to.
