I have the 6 litre Robyn. It is great as you can be cooking a main on the bottom and pudding or vegies on top.
Just be aware of the quality and gauge of the internal cooking pots - that's what ultimately persuaded me to go with the Dreampot. They have a good Youtube video.  :)

CP ......CP........are you there?  Perhaps I'd better pop over with a bucket of cold water to throw over you.  :D ;) ;) ;)

That's exciting news. I'm sure your Mum will love it.

she is very stubborn and just kept saying "nup, nup, I'm too old to learn...its just for the two of us...no I don't want one blah blah" so I just let her go. She has been staying with me whilst dad is in hospital down the road and I've been making her different breakfasts and she just loves the eggs and spinach done in it. She even wants to take my cat home with her because she finds her a comfort (and this is a person who hates cats) Never say never  :-))

Obviously Mums have to live with their daughters to know what they are missing out on CP - if she doesn't take your cat do you think she will get one for herself?  Hope Dad is OK.

there is no way she's taking my cat!!!

my parents will be fine. its just old age catching up with them, and they were not prepared despite us "kids" trying to tell them otherwise about 5 years ago. they will need to make some adjustments now, but thats life  :)

Sadly it is. I remember dropping Mum and Dad at Royal Perth hospital very early one morning for Mum to have a heart procedure done as day surgery. I looked in the rear vision mirror to check that they were going over the road ok and it suddenly hit me, they were two old people! I guess I hadn't given it much thought before then.
Despite hints and nagging CP my folks never really thought about old age much. They were happy as things were and that was fine. These country people. :-\ :-\

Had to smile at the bit about parents,  you are talking about US . We have always been very independent until this OS episode.  We don't feel old.  CP,  my daughter has finally been convinced that she needs a TMX.
I have just caught up with this thread.  Have most of the things mentioned except the Dream pot thingy.   But what I find very useful is my ice machine. It cost $300 a few years ago, sits in bench in laundry and in the summer is used weekly.  I use the ice in iced coffee to make a very low cal summer drink.  It is a perfect companion to the TMX for making fruity dream desserts.   I know many people have fridges with ice machines but this is a separate appliance.
