I would join in the secret Santa, but I just don't know if I will be visiting the forum often enough at this stage. Maybe next year
Secret Santa is great fun though, I really enjoyed it last year even though the person I brought from never (as far as I know) came back on the forum, so I don't know if she liked her gift or not

That is sad dede. It is a little silly for people to do that. Hopefully it won't happen this year.

Most people who have around 100 posts are on frequently. A good thing, now that MM has given us global moderator powers we are able to contact people via their email, as long as they give us the correct one.

Dede , that must have been so disheartening!!  It could be that something happened in that person's life that took her away from what was happening here....but a "thank you" at least would have been nice.  I know how busy you are but it would be really great if you could join us .... but whatever you feel most comfortable with....

I had the same thing happen mandi, but unfortunately my recipient had/has been back a few times that I have noticed and still no word from her, I won't be doing it this year but I'm sure you will all enjoy it again;D

It's a shame that your gifts weren't acknowledged Dede and Suzanne. 

I received a great calendar with kitchen hints on it. Each day as I turn to the next one I think of my SS. DH wondered what I doing when he came into the kitchen and I was chopping onions and with a teaspoon in my mouth  It was one of the hints and a metal spoon in your mouth does actually stop you from crying when chopping onions.

Oh Suzanne I am so sad that it happened to you too.
If it happens to anyone else this year can you please let one of the moderators know. As I mentioned before we now have access to a little bit more information on people and may be able to follow it up, even if only to see if it has been received.

Oh dede and Suzanne that is sad. It happened to me too on another forum I used to belong to. I sent a really good handmade item that I used to make and sell, and heard nothing, but also never received a gift despite being assured it had been sent.
Last year on here I got a lovely gift and knew also that my recipient was happy with hers. Hard to hide customs forms!!!! 
I hope when you decide to join us that you have better luck next time.
