Oh that sounds lovely Chookie. I've just got my first SC loaf in the cooker now, such a great idea for these mega hot days!

I made a dozen bread rolls using Uni's 1 hr bread in my slow cooker yesterday. Turned out really well, 2 to 3 mins under the grill to brown the top after cooking. Forgot to spray the tops, didnt seem to make any difference. I left them in for about 1 and a half hours, but did lift the lid a few times to wipe the condensation off. The rolls rose then joined together like a pull apart loaf.
For the experienced SC chefs out there ( Chookie or JD) should I just ignore the condensation? It was starting to drip on the rolls.
Great looking fruit loaf Chookie.

I didn't notice a lot of condensation in what I cooked Elle because my dough rose right up to the lid, did yours? Taking the lid off slow cookers all the time is not recommended although it didn't seem to affect what you made so if you are happy with them, guess I'd keep doing what you did. Chookie may have some thoughts. I was thinking of making bread sticks in my large rectangular shaped SC next and they certainly won't rise up too high so I'll see how I go with them.

I haven't cut my loaf yet to note the success but I had condensation too ElleG.
Edited:
Just tried the loaf and it would have to be one of the best loaves I've ever made!

I like the condensation as it prevents the lid sticking. Also assists in the rising. Don't wipe it off. Popping under the grill will dry out any
moisture.

Thanks Chookie - will keep from prodding, poking and wiping lids next time
DH was happy with the rolls, as I can't eat the bread I couldn't really tell what they were like. Looked good and easy especially for visitors.
JD, my SC is so deep, there is no was bread would ever rise to the top. It did rise nicely. I am interested in the SC Stacelee bought - haven't been able to find one that does SC and fermentation. Would love to know which brand. Does anyone have a SC that has these functions?
