Gert,  love the look of your freezer.  I think if mine looked like that I would have a melt down. !
Spam,  none of that.  I think this was 'war' food.  Dad was a butcher so no need for emergency meat.
Still working on freezer.  Nice roast beef on the bone for dinner tonight.   Picked a bucket of lemons yesterday so looking for recipes.  Lemon Delicious for Dinner, Lemon and Carrot Jam , lemon Cake, lemon Sorbet.
Still inspired to keep trying to reduce food overload.

There is one can of spam in my pantry which was bought for the ex SIL.  He hasn't been on the scene for many yeaars now so might just feed it to GDs dog.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Used up leftovers for lunch.Made chicken Bon bons stuffed with cheese and sundried tomatoes for Friday.. Went shopping for some veggies and spent just under $30 which did include a chicken to make dog food  so that doesn't count! Chopped the one steak up for dog food too. I so resisted quite a few bargains that could go into the freezer. I did not buy one thing for the pantry. Will put some oats in the dog food and  the rest of frozen veg will go into that too.  The unknown sausage I found still remains unknown and I doubt even the dog would like it so it got tossed. And that is the only thing I have had to toss since I started eating down the freezer.

I'm going out for dinner tonight for DD's birthday, nothing much in the fridge here either Gert so I dug out the last 2 spring rolls, zapped a potato then put them both in the air fryer for 5 minutes, made a quick little salad with what I had and hey presto, lunch for 1.

When labelling for the freezer, if the zip-lock bag or box the item is in is transparent I just put the label inside the  bag or box, facing outward . It can go no further that way.

Ooh. I have never thought of that. Thanks.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I don't label for the freezer but do that for the pantry. I usually cut the box or packet and slip the label inside with instructions if needs be. Nothing can stay in the original packet in this climate.
