Must agree with everyone. Everyone eats the same or goes without. Some nights DH and DD have ice cream or yoghurt for dessert, or fruit. Sadly yummy desserts are only for birthdays or visitors. Otherwise we would all be even more ball shaped.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Long day with visitors. Great fun.  Fortunately there are not many leftovers only the ham  so it think I did well. Not sure what to do about the ham. Perhaps eat  some then freeze the rest and leave until I finish off the steaks, chicken bits and one lonely crayfish tail.

My cleaner comes tomorrow at noon so we usually go out for lunch on that day which when you are trying hard to get rid of stuff is a problem as we do not have dinner only lunch every day.

Only dessert that you get here is ice cream and fruit, DH's favourite that's if I've made ice cream. Other wise only time we have dessert is for a birthday or we have visitors.

Still inspired by what members are creating from fridge and pantry.  We are now 1 packet of Bol Sauce down, 1 slice of rump steak down from freezer.  Pasta from pantry and lots of veggies from fridge. Amazing what you find.  3 large bags of Black Rice!!!  And enough pasta to feed a football team.

Glad you mentioned the black rice. Just retrieved mine, put it in the front and now thinking of a chicken and black rice dish.

A few more containers from the freezer, vanilla bean ice cream, a nice surprise, using a tomato base sauce in a lasagna, mac n cheese for dh lunch. A small container of gravy to go with sausages from the freezer with dinner tonight.

I opened a few surprise containers, but not a clue what they were, back in the freezer atm.

How do you all keep sticky labels on containers? Mine just magically fly around my freezers :o

I have 4 boxes of el ol passo, all out of date but I think they are ok. One a week to use.

Today I took out a piece of spinach/rice pie and 2 pieces of pineapple cheesecake.  I have about 5 meals to go then will get stuck into the sauces which I really want to get rid of.

From fridge and pantry....The minestrone recipe in My Way of Cooking is great for using up some vegetables. Only had carrots though , and onion and the tail end of some leek :) But just under 600 gm carrots gone and some pasta.... Soup will be good for a day or two... Or will I freeze some...?!? :)

Slowly emptying freezer, chorizo and chicken thighs baked in the oven with some steamed fresh veg. With DGD here on holidays I'm feeding 6 most nights.
