We've been doing it for many years Bedlam. It has just increased since we retired.

I'm envious AB. We used to camp a bit further up the coast when we lived in Broome at a place called Quongdong. I'm not sure if you can still camp there.  Isn't the water a lovely blue out there?  Are you liking the tides?. Enjoy your holiday.

AB,  sounds heavenly.
Yesterday,  we were walking along the Murray river,  looking at the house boats,  when a man on one of the boats invited us in for a cuppa.  We had just had a coffee so didn't accept this surprising offer , but did have a long talk with him.  This is what is so nice about holidays.   The nicest things can happen.
Lots and lots of caravans here and a Beechworth Bakery.

It is about the only travel dream I have is to hire a large houseboat and travel down the Murray. It is such a beautiful, historic river.

Can hire 12 person House boats,  very expensive. $2000/3000 for seven days , plus fuel. Probably $2 to 3 000 for fuel.  Have to supply own food and do cooking and cleaning.  Or book a number of cabins on the Murray Princess for 3or4 or 7 days. Plenty of time for social get togethers.  They cook and clean. We paid $250 a day each,  full board, entertainment, not luxurious.
