LOL Stacey!

I've been known to log the mobile into the wireless network so I can see the forum while cooking  :P... *blush*

it's funny, cause i am SO internet addicted, but HATE reading online! my friend has sent me the link to some online fan fiction and it so doesn't appeal having to read onthe computer.

I'm with you about reading on the computer but I cannot survive without my ebooks.  I have been using a variety of palm pilots, ppcs and now my iphone through the years to read on.  I'm an insomniac and tend to read for two or three hours every night.  The only thing that has probably saved me from being killed by my husband is the fact I don't need to turn the light on to read when I'm using an ebook reader.  I love having the ability to carry hundreds of books with me all the time and being able to purchase new ones instantly.  Unfortunately I have also converted my two kids who both read books on their hp ipaqs that we bought for that express reason.  We are really big readers in our house and at least it saves bookcase space.....also great when you are travelling...not so much to pack and the kids get new books downloaded on the run.  I think they would prefer to lose their gameboys than their readers.

Have a great day
Stacey
...who is tucked in bed down the Gold Coast with a cup of tea and Terry Pratchett's Witches Abroad sitting next to her on the iphone. :P
ps. I'm happy to explain how to read electronically if anyone needs help :D
pps. I'd offer the tmx cookbook scan to anyone who wants it but I think it would breach copyright.

Would a scanned copy of the EDC be breaching copyright if we already own it? *angelic smile*

Its the older version I'm sorry.....only got my thermomix in July but it has been shipped with the old book.  I've also scanned in the magnetic guide that you get with it.  I'm gradually going through all my miscellaneous piles of things that I've ripped out of magazines over the years and either converting recipes to electronic format or converting quilt patterns etc to pdf's.  I've started drowning in paperwork and decided that it is easier to find stuff when all I have to do is do an electronic search for a word or flick through a slideshow of pdfs.

If anyone is interested in checking out reading ebooks on phones, pdas etc....I can thoroughly recommend mobipocket.  It is an application that has been ported to quite a few platforms including windows ce, palm, symbian phones and blackberry's.  I have used it for many years before I changed to an iphone in February.

More on topic, I used to use a recipe management program on my windows ce phone called pdacookbook to manage my recipes.  Very handy for checking on recipe ingredients when standing in the middle of Coles.  I now use an app called HandyCookBook.  Costs a whole $1.99 on itunes.

Is anyone willing to part with Cyndi's book?! I emailed my old consultant last week saying I will definitely like to purchase it but I haven't heard back from her. Are there any consultants here that would sell me a new one?

It sounds like you need to be adopted by a new consultant Ayla.

Ayla - Are you in Aust? Which State or area?? I'm a consultant in the Toowoomba, Kingaroy areas and in between. You can buy Cyndi's books off her website too if your consultant doesn't come through.
