I have given this "bread" it's original name, however it is really somewhere between a scone and muffin. We ate it with soup and this was a perfect accompaniment. I also grated cheese on the top. Next time I will add 1/4 cup of Parmesan to the dough. Ingredients3 dessert spoons of egg mayo1 cup of Self raising flour1/2 cup of milkCheese to grate on top ( optional)MethodMix all together in TMX or by hand. Scrape into a lined 14 cm square baking dish.Bake 20 minutes at 400 ff. Or until brown on top. Cool in dish for 15 minutes and then on cake rack. Notes. Could add herbs or don't add cheese and eat with butter and jam. Could bake as Muffins. Could double recipe and bake longerThis recipe came from the Internet. This recipe
Marina, makes 4 small serves. Your DH may like the biscuits that are made with plain flour and Mayo. No dairy either. Very much like a short bread but without the butter. Will post the recipe. Ral loved them didn't tell him that they were made with Mayo.
Couldn't agree with everyone more re keeping ingredients a secret. I often do this with my two boys. They will sometime ask what's in it/ what's this etc, but I will respond coyly or invent a 'more pleasing description' of an ingredient I know they don't like 😀
