Hi!

I´m not buying cookbooks anymore. That´s what I said last year. Okay. I bought one I really had to have : 1000 Recipes to try befor you die. Should be enough to do for a while. And then I found a Jewish American Cookbook second Hand...

Okay, but now I´m done with buying cook books. I take them home from the public library and take them back after I´m through with them. There are a couple left there and I hope they will buy new ones ;D.

I know the books you mean ILB - they have them for sale at the hairdressing salon I go to. I always used to buy them but have the willpower now, to not even look at them.  I just check out the children's books instead.  Be strong ILB - you can do it.  You need to ;) ;)

I find my cookbooks pretty useful, I look through most of them each week and cook 1-3 meals from them. I only have 10 or so. I generally have to drool over a book for a while before I buy. The library is a great way to test them or sometimes I go to book-stores and sit in the cooking section looking at all the pretty books and add them to my wish-list. My cooking passion has only really been around for 2 years, so I haven't had the time to build up a huge collection. Also, I think my lifestyle may be less demanding then some of yours, I don't have kids or any other commitments. My only dietary requirements are vego and not too much lactose. Pretty easy compared to some.

I don't think I will ever stop collecting them though. Cookbooks are my two passions combined... design and cooking. How could I resist that? (I can resist ugly cookbooks though, how shallow of me lol)

I want to buy "Sim's greatest beauty recipes" - have you written it yet?

I usually just indulge at the library... :(

Not yet! lol But I did purchase 'making professional lotions and creams' and it had information about how to make your own recipes. I am just about to pot up some samples and give them out with questionnaires, asking people to give me feed back. Any volunteers?

I also find cookbooks a good read.  Novels on the otherhand I only read once and you can't make anything nice from them!!!

I'll volunteer Sim, yum!

I have just bought The Home Creamery because we have a house cow (therefore excess milk) now.

And I've ordered the Indian TMX cookbook which I can't wait to try.  I have almost all of them now!
