Thanks TMXR for the reassurance -- taste wise it was fine, however as I was taking the TM bowl off the machine I could smell the oil and just thought that perhaps the grapeseed might have been milder.

I made these tonight to take along to a gathering tomorrow. Couldn't resist a taste while still warm, omg yum! So moist and dense, it's beautiful.

I used EVOO too and was a bit concerned with the strong smell when opening the TMX but the taste is only just noticeable warm, and will disappear completely when cool, I imagine.

Thanks for the great recipe!

I halved this recipe today to make a smaller batch for a playdate. Mixed for 30secs instead of 40, baked for errr... I didn't check, lol. It turned out just as good as the first time. :)

Really like these  8)

I poured the batter into greased  heart shape muffin forms.  Filled 1/2 way, and cooked for 18 minutes for the smaller hearts,
and around 25 minutes for the larger hearts.
Because they were individuals....they each have a lovely crunchy casing......and the centre is lovely and moist.

Great idea to have them as individuals.  Maddy how many cake tins do you have? ;D

Good on you. I am slowly adding to the enormous heap I had. They are at the 'keep falling out of the cupboard' stage. I may have to hide a couple I don't use a lot. ;)

Ha ha, same here Cookie.  I'm thinking of taking all my saucepans, stockpots etc out to the shed and filling those cupboards/drawers with bakeware instead.

Since I got my TMX I have cleaned out my cupboards of all of the appliances it replaced. Have made a big pile and about to have a garage sale. Hoping with this and the rest of the items from around the house, I might make enough money to buy a second bowl. Fingers crossed anyway. :-\

Good idea twitterpated!  The second jug is really worthwhile  ;)

I must say that was my sentiments as well.
I still use my slowcooker (great for the late finishing sport nights)
& my processor (for grating blocks of cheese, and slicing vegetables), and often use my Kitchenaid for cakes and the hand mixer for cream.
I guess the rice cooker and blender became obsolete (but at times I still use the tupperware microwave rice cooker).
Think hard about what  you really won't use....as you might kick yourself down the track  ;)

So it was 9.30pm last night when I suddenly remembered I had planned to make something for DS1 to take today for his last day of daycare.  I had this recipe on my list of things to make and because everything is a pantry staple for me, and it takes less than a minute to whizz up...off I went.

How sensational are they?!  I don't envy the staff there dealing with the kids after the sugar rush, but oh my, they are sooooo good.

I only had 2 whole eggs left, but a stack of egg whites frozen in the freezer, so I used two of them (just partially thawed in the microwave) in place of 2 whole eggs.  I've not made this recipe before so I'm not sure what sort of a difference that made, but as far as I am concerned, the taste and texture is just fine  ;D

I still made it to bed by 10.20pm  ;)
