Hello! ;)

Here is a recipe for Oatmeal Cookies super easy to do and that, besides being not to sweet are very popular around the house!

Recipe Name:

OATMEAL COOKIES

People:
I can always make an average of 60 cookies

Ingredients
200 grams of butter
200 grams Sugar
100 grams of Flour
100 grams of peeled hazelnuts (ground to taste)
250 grams of oatmeal (previously roasted in the oven and Cold)
2 Eggs
1 Egg yolk
1 packet of vanilla sugar (I use homemade)
1 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation:

Butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, yolk  -  speed 5 / 1 minute
Add the remaining ingredients and programs for more 30 seconds / Speed 5.
Line the oven trays with baking paper.
Place heaped teaspoonfuls (20 per tray) leaving enough room for them to spread

Preheated oven at 190 - 200 º
Bake for 10 minutes

I hope you enjoy.

Thanks isi, look good.  The vanilla sugar is 2 teaspoons if I remember correctly from one of your other recipes - we buy it in a glass jar if we don't make our own.

Yummy thanks Isi - another one for the cookie container  ;D ;D though not for school with the nuts. Think I will make life easy this year and have two containers. One for cookies that can go to school and one for the others.

Thanks Isi - they look and sound great - sure that you could leave out the nuts to allow kids to take them to school.

Where you say
"Feather oven trays with paper (must always 3)
Place with the help of a teaspoon mounds (20 per tray) with enough distance not to cheat!"

we would say
"Line the oven trays with baking paper.
Place heaped teaspoonfuls (20 per tray) leaving enough room for them to spread"

We have a saying "Feather your own nest"  which equates to another "Line your own pockets"  so I can see how feather got into the translation.

Yes - if you look in the lunchbox challenge thread http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2805.msg31617#msg31617

many schools have banned nuts and some have banned eggs as children have allergies and if they inadvertantly swap their food somebody could have a fatal reaction.

These look lovely Isi. I make a lot of cookies with oatmeal in, but I have never toasted it before. I will try these. Thanks.

These biscuits are well worth going to the effort of toasting the oatmeal as they are delicious. I only had 60g of hazelnuts, so added 40g of almonds and ground them together, and I didn't bother removing the skins either. Next time I will use all hazelnut as I love the hint of hazelnut that these biscuits have. I will definitely be making these again.

Looks yum, ES! Can I use rolled oats as I always have some around for Anzac biscuits? What temperature did you roast the oatmeal?

These would even be healthy to a certain degree because of the oats.  ;D ;D ;D

 :) to a certain degree cookie :-))
BZB, I put them in a moderate oven for the time it took me to wake up the kids, cook them scrambled eggs,  for them to eat them and get dressed. In other words, I've no idea how long they were actually in the oven :( I put them in a cold oven, and kept checking them until they looked a little brown and smelt cooked.
