Thank you for your update - was hoping nothing awful was happening because we hadn't heard from you. To keep your spirits up after such a rocky start will be helped with good nutritions food. Hope you have a large network of family and friends to look after you and keep an eye out for you. Make sure you grab sleep every time she goes down and don't try to do too much - Thinking of you!  ;)

Caroline, I appear to be another who has missed your announcement.
Congratulations to you all and I hope that you have managed to get the feeding back on track - it is so very much easier when you can take bottles out of the equation!
Looking forward to a snap of Hannah!

Well, the meatballs in tomato sauce with garlic rice were delicious.  A big thumbs up from us all - so thanks for both the recommendation and the recipe.

I've discovered something this week - perhaps I should post it under the tips section  ;)  Sitting on a chair juggling a baby, milk bottle, phone and laptop DOESN'T WORK!!  The laptop is now in for repair, and expected back in 1-2 weeks.  So I'm laptopless (sniff).  At least I get the occasional look-in on this computer, so I'm not 100% internet deprived.

There has been some (but not much) progress on the breastfeeding, so we haven't given up yet. Meanwhile she's still getting most of her food from the bottle.  Hannah is putting on weight and growing well, and continues to be a complete delight.  I'm slightly nervous about next week, as DH will be back at work (today is his last day of paternity leave), but I'm now able to do everything involved with caring for Hannah, and that's the most important thing. I'm sure everything else will just sort itself out, and anyway, I'm able to do a bit more every day.

I'm really looking forward to when I can cook properly again, and try out some of these lovely recipes which have been posted.

Until I get on the computer again - take care all.

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Hugs to you all Caroline :)

I am not sure if you have access to a lactation consultant or a breast feeding association but I would highly recommend both for any issues with breast feeding. I have found them invaluable in my bfing journey with my two.

Enjoy the last few days with your DH home and go easy on yourself.

All the best Caroline. If breast feeding doesn't work out it is far from the end of the world. I'm thinking of you.

Good to hear Mr Caroline is going OK.  How's Kaila ?

You make me laugh, TMXer  :D

My laptop and I are happily reunited, Hannah is doing well despite an allergy to cows milk.  Hopefully the Dr is going to prescribe a formula that works for her on Monday.

Kaila is also doing well.  We've been able to take her to the vet now, and he said that it was just that she'd run herself down while she was on heat, and that it was normal.
