We had a cold southerly wind blowing up here yesterday and DH and some friends walked down the beach to try fishing. I made this soup for them    when they got back and everyone loved it.  I didn't have the pizza sauce so In just threw some tomatoes in. very nice. Thanks Maddy.

I am just sitting here eating this for my lunch. I added risoni instead of pasta spirals and tomato paste and some mixed herbs instead of the pizza paste and it is lovely though I forgot that I had the chicken stock in there and added a little to much salt. Something to remember next time.

Thanks Maddy for a lovely recipe.

Yum Maddy that looks so nice, I nearly could smell it coming out of the computer screen. I'm definitely going to make it this week. I don't care that the kids don't like soup much they can go without lol.

Maddy,  what a great soup, had this last night with crusty home made bread of Isi'. Hubby couldn't believe it was all made in "that machine"  Whilst the bread was proving in the machine, I was getting all the ingredients together for the soup and while the bread was baking,  the soup was cooking.  Popped soup into thermoserver until bread had cooled sufficiently to slice. Just loving trying  the recipes on the forum.

Made this tonight but didn't go well (though my mum liked it), came out looking like tomato soup and nothing like the photo. I used 140g of tomato purée as Googling seemed to suggest the Small pot of Leg.. Pizza sauce was about 140g, and it made the soup very red. Also managed to goof by not chopping the carrots enough before putting them into thenTMX to chop, so they didn't end up as this enough pieces and where still surprisingly tough to chew after 20 minutes and overall taste seemed slightly off..

Rest of the batch is in the freezer but I don't picture eating them :/

Pizza sauce will have more sweetness, and added flavour with herbs/onion/garlic.......so it really doesn't compare with straight tomato puree, which will taste more acidic.

Also managed to goof by not chopping the carrots enough before putting them into thenTMX to chop, so they didn't end up as this enough pieces and where still surprisingly tough to chew after 20 minutes

Simply chop the carrots smaller first,  or chop the veggies a bit longer.

Made this tonight but didn't go well (though my mum liked it), came out looking like tomato soup and nothing like the photo.

the colour would determine which vegetables, and how much of each used.

overall taste seemed slightly off..

.......this is one of my families favourite soups.  Maybe using ingredients as listed would give the result we enjoy.

We LOVE this soup too!  It always seems to work out perfectly, even when I vary the veggies that go into it, and it always gets rave reviews from guests.

So easy and delicious. Even my non-soup eating FIL was happy!
