That pork looks delicious Gert.  :D

Not sure you could really count it as cooking but I made some peach and apricot puree this morning (used 2 tins out of my pantry  :D ) for the girls to have in their porridge - made alot so I was very happy to find they loved it!  ;D

Love the look of the crackling Gert.  I know it's early but I wouldn't mind munching on a bit right now.  :-))

Gert, that pork looks fantastic. Do you wipe the marinade off or just it does soak in because of the longer standing time? do you still salt it? sorry for all the questions but I'm always after a different way to do pork belly. Red Spice Road pork belly is my favourite but a bit to time consuming to give it a go at home.

That pork looks wonderful, thanks for the idea Gert.  Will try next time.  Not much exciting happening here, having left overs  for lunch.

Beef bourguignon
Chicken something as I have defrosted chicken that needs cooking.

Tomorrow I will turn it over and slice the meat in the opposite direction then smear  with more of the sauce so this time the whole piece will be chillie flavour.  You can do it either way by just leaving the fat free of sauce with just salting it before cooking  and do the meat side or the opposite or both. This time I am doing both because I want to  use up the bottle!.

Another photo tomorrow.

You have everyone's interest with that pork belly roast Gretchen - it is a favourite in this house too but DH only gets it for a treat.  I should treat him more often but you know how it is  :-))

Today I've only made a candied pineapple & nut cake - more things to do but have to go out and will get back to the kitchen later. Will post cake recipe later.

That looks good JD. Yup we have pork belly about every six months. This time I bought just a small piece and it's not very fatty at all so hoping it will crisp up. Will post a pic as I go along.

I've just washed the kitchen floor to prevent me from cooking lol. Made CADA this morning, might make apple pies after school pickup, then risotto for dinner.
