JD  i can ask how you made it in the slow cooking please
Yes, sure Uni - the recipe was in the book which came with my Breville 6.5 litre slow cooker

2kg lean corned silverside (my piece was 1.3kg)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1.5 tblspns balsamic vinegar
3 fresh mint sprigs
1 medium onion, peeled and studded with 4 cloves
2 med carrots, peeled and roughly cut
3 cups water
8 peppercorns

Cook on low 10-12 hours or 6-7 hours on high.  I did it 6.5 hours on high.

Uni, did you use your own condensed milk ? A friend of mine complained that her last two batches of caramel slice haven't set either. She has blamed it on the generic condensed milk she bought. She has since made it with the Nestlé condensed milk with no problems.
It looks good though!
I cooked shoulder of lamb today, made my own wraps and tzatziki and we had it with salad.
I've also cooked the filling for a beef pie in the pressure cooker, and made up a batch of gingerbread biscuits to be cooked later.

Vegetable salad and houmous.

This is my packed meal to go to hospital. The city hospital in Nottingham /UK have a special leisure centre specifically for Cancer patients. They have this class today with experts to show you how to look your best with/after Cancer. Various experts from well known companies supply all the makeup etc. How kind is that?
