Hope she has a lovely birthday Maddy, pancakes look great, did she like her presents?

She did, loved them....and she literally squealed when she saw the one direction concert DVD....which reminds me to find some earplugs!   :P

Have a loaf of bread on its first rise and a large pot of meat sauce cooking at the moment.   The sauce is for a lasagne for the freezer.  School holidays coming up and nan always has to have a lasagne ready for the grand children.

I used up some vegetables that were going a bit limp in the fridge, so I've ended up with broccoli, cauliflower and mushroom :) I also added a small tin of salmon, a sprinkle of curry powder and some dried herbs. Its probably the yummiest soup I've ever had!!! ;D ;D

Decided to do some extra baking this arvo so made 4 small egg & bacon pies, 1 large raspberry & apple pie and a jam & apple turnover with the left over pastry.  Will keep the raspberry & apple pie for dessert tonight and the rest went in the freezer.

Just popped a self saucing chocolate pudding in the oven. If it turns out any good, I'll post my conversion :)

I've never cooked a self saucing pudding before. Is it supposed to look this messy? :-))

No.  mine usually looks like cake on top and the sauce underneath.   How did it taste.  Cover it with cream.
