CP, you had better make plenty of everything so he can take a pile home.
We have just returned home after a week away. Today made, Tenina's Chicken Stock Powder, French Onion Soup mix and have successfully reconstituted some Sour Dough Starter, that I dried before we went away. YAHHHHHH.
After I have given it the bread making test, I am prepared to post some CHEROKEE STARTER , to any Forum members, who would like to try it.

The white was the first & it was still a little warm. Will make the cakes the day before, & keep them in the fridge.

They both look good to me too Hally, maybe some of each.
Chookie you must be thrilled with your results of the dried starter. Can't wait to see a picture of the bread you made with it. I imagine you will be trotting back and forth to the post office in the near future and your starter will be all around the country. What a generous offer, hope you can keep up with the demand.

Today is my first attempt at lemon Meringue Pie for an Aunt's birthday party tomorrow. I did did cheat and buy the pastry base though. If it works out I will attempt the base next time.

I hope it works out too. Home made pastry is so much tastier. I'm sure it'll be a success.

Well I just tried one of the smaller lemon meringue pies made with some of the extras I had and it was delicious.

ACW I am following your instructions today for my sourdough. So far, it is looking good. I have many books on sourdough and I have recently ordered the one that Gert mentioned about Alaskan Sourdough but I think the last loaf following your method has produced the better loaf. Not as doughy if that makes sense.
Great to hear the lemon meringue pie was a success DC
