H the scary pies look great but chicken and vegie just don't work for Halloween.  I think you need to fill them with spaghetti in a cream sauce and call them monkey brain pies or maybe something in a red sauce that looks like it could be guts or something.

I would put cocktail franks in a bowl squirt tomato sauce all over them and find a ghoulish rubber hand to stick in the bowl.

Hally, how about you mix up some blue and green jelly and set it in plastic cups with lolly snakes and bugs?

It sounds like fun Hally, I hope you get as many goodies as you give ;D

We've never celebrated Halloween :-))

You could also wrap frankfurts in pastry to look like mummies :)
And make a chocolate cake, crumble it up to look like dirt, and then stick things in it to make it look like a graveyard :)
Stick some marshmallows together, poke them onto a skewer and then draw eyes on to look like ghosts ;D

Younare full of good ideas.

We got into it last year  after being in hawaii, its everywhere.

We went to a haunted lagoon, shame i was in pain, but it was fun.

We have been to parties the last few years.

This year we are going to 2 parties & trick or treating.

I have a good witch to put up on Halloween. We onky go to houses that have halloween items hanging outside & of course the neighbours :)

hally, the pies are looking good. I think there was a thread last year and someone made biscuits that looked like fingers. If you do a search you may get some extra ideas.

We've always celebarated with friends who go all out and have a halloween party, we've had some amazing years where they have arranged for actors in the streets jumping out at kids, arranged a walking tour that involved an old graveyard with spooky stories, and they do an amazing job decorating their house with cobwebs and have a smoke machine. She also has her DH making black champagne cocktails which he drives to certain stops on our route so we always have a full glass.

Great bread H and DJ. The spider bowl is a great idea just needs a little fine tuning.

Deedub, does that quiche have a pastry base or one to the impossible type?
Hi wonder, I used the EDC shortcrust pastry as a base. Used a loose based tin so needed a crust.
Just made Anzac biccies today, trying to stay out of the kitchen & catch up with other things.
Hally, your pies look great! If your budget stretches to Persian fairy floss (i forget the proper name), could use that for 'cobwebs'.
