Damn CP :-))
Whenever I have a cake flop, I make a variation on a trifle... meaning I just crumble the cake into a dish, top with runny custard and sprinkle (generously) with grated chocolate. Let in soak for a few hours and there you have it ;D Really good with chocolate cake and chocolate custard :D

I think I can feel a chocolate baking day coming on.
I've got a hankering for a good, rich brownie and now that I've just bought 6 books on the interwebz in 5 minutes, I might as well indulge one of my other passions.  ;D

Chocolate and shopping Amanda. What else could a girl ask for?

Made crumpets and like those before me, am not sure if I will make them again. Not disappointed but not impressed either.

They look pretty good to me. We sometimes make them in the winter months.

I have a Cobb loaf rising and DD is making a raspberry something or other loaf

They had the bubble texture thru them Amy. I think my frying killed a few on top ;)

Judy they looked like crumpets and tasted like crumpets, which I think are pretty bland anyway. The children are happy and the batter was hassle free to make. I am still not sure if I could be bothered frying them up. Oddly it made a fair amount so I will freeze some fir another time. Maybe then it is better than buying them and worth the effort.

You must have plenty of freezer space astarra  ;)

Love the rose brownie muffin form - it makes for a nice decoration.
