Fantastic cake Kimmyh. I've heard of cradle snatcher but you seemed to have taken that to a new level  :-))

The texture of your cake looks great, I've never had as much success as others with this cake so I would love to know your process, and what tin you used.

Nice cake Kimmy :)

Lovely bread and platter Maddy :)

I have made some spinach & ricotta filo pastries using some silver beet I was given yesterday.  I added some grated carrot and a slice of ham as well.  They smell delicious.  I might make a cake later on.

Kim and  Maddy,  love the baking.  Baked 1 minute bread and thought I might cut it differently.

Maddy, your platter is gorgeous :)

The bread looks good, Chookie!

Made my first batch of sorbet using the EDC recipe. Used 300g of navel orange that I removed pith. Added zest into sorbet. Turned out slightly bitter but boys still enjoyed it.

Love the cake Kimmy!  That frosting is superb.

But I have to ask is DH really just turning 5?  😳😳😳

Oops I meant DS! But you girls new that lol 😜☺️

Wonder, I followed the ILB recipe, omitted cocoa and added 40g of flour to replace the missing cocoa. Batter was cooked in 20cm sandwich/sponge tins lined with baking paper (made 4 shallow cakes) at 180c for approx 15minutes. It's a moist cake that stood up to extra stirring when I added the food colouring. I do cook all my cakes on the 2nd shelf up from the bottom. This puts the top of the cake in the middle of my oven. Hoping you have better luck next time.
