Looks good CB79. The original recipe for the herbed yoghurt balls didn't appeal to me when I read it but the sweet chilli ones look great.  They would have been much easier to prepare aye? Just pour the sauce over, nothing else? Do they need marinating overnight?

Yep, just pour the sauce over the balls.  Easy peasy.  I did it the day before, and spooned the sauce back over a few times.

With the herb balls, we've always liked the herb cream cheese swirls from the supermarket.  I'll have to look at what herbs are in them.  I'm sure there are chives, and I'm not sure what else.  I'll give that a go next time.

Wow CB79 - what a great menu. Great that everyone thinks you were cooking for days! Congrats on finishing uni too.  :)

Well today I have started to make Chicken Chermoula - now in the fridge marinating and will cook on the bbq later. Also have a Banana, Walnut and Date loaf in the oven (from EDC), always yummy. And just having a rest and about to make a spag bol to have in a day or two - always better after a day or so.

So feeling pretty productive so far!

I've had a slack few days apart from bread and some butter. We've been at car club Christmas parties. Starting tomorrow it's back to cooking again. I might get a few things done and into the freezer for Christmas, if I can fit them in.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Well tonight I have made Spag marinara from EDC for dinner tonight, then I made tomatoe sauce and then just finished making strawberry jam. I could never imagine making any of these before getting my TM.

Today I am starting batches of glacé pears, peaches and apricots for holiday gifts.  These are all done from fruits I dried earlier.
I have a container of candied fruits in syrup that are going to be turned into mostarda di frutta, also to be jarred in fancy containers and given to people who like this interesting condiment. 
It isn't to everyone's taste, but my daughter loves it so I have to make a batch every year so she will have it to serve with the Christmas goose! 
I don't have to stand over the stove with the candying event as I use electric slow cookers which do not have to be constantly watched, although I do have them plugged into timers to shut them off if I should happen to forget......  :-))

My egg man showed up at 6:45 this morning (as I write it is 8:13 a.m.) with a basket full of eggs and I haven't used up all he brought the last time.  He raises a variety of exotic chickens so the eggs are in many colors - also a few guinea hen eggs, also nice.  His poultry are all "free-range" and compared to store-bought eggs, the yolks are incredibly colored - bright orange instead of the insipid yellow. 

I may make a nice bread pudding - baked in a loaf pan so I can slice it and prepare the "mock French toast" that I originated several years ago when helping with fund-raising breakfasts. 
 
A way of preparing nearly instant French toast, with none of the mess, just slice and place on a buttered griddle.

I love mostarda di Cremona and have made a few attempts - though not serious and never bothered googling a proper recipe - too lazy  :-)) :-)) :-))

They are so good with cheese, bollito misto, ham, pickled meats, straight out of the jar when nobody's watching,...... :o :o :o

He "charges" me a dollar a dozen.  However, I always send him away with goodies so I am probably paying only for his transport costs!

The poultry farm is a hobby for him.  He is a retired aerospace engineer, worked for NASA.
