Lucky DD Uni.
I have been making a lot of loaf cakes in my smaller cake tins. They are deeper than a normal loaf tin but I like the way they cook. Of course I have to alter the cooking time.
I have quite a selection of bread tins and have sometimes put a new recipe in the wrong size tin. I bought a baguette Banetton in the kitchen shop. I can't wait to try it.

I do something similar as I write on the recipe: ring tin, large/small lasagne dish, pudding dish, slice tin, small bread tin
I know which tin etc I'm referring to if I've cooked it successfully in that dish before.

No cooking here as yet. I mentioned to DH that we may extend our 1-2 vegetarian meals a week to more and he agreed. I've just planned my menu for the week doing this, so we will see what he says at the end of the week. We will still have 1-2 red meat meals and possibly 1-2 chicken as well so it will be fine. Marina' stood looked so nice on Friday and Sunday lunch I thought I would try it.

Lots of great vegetarian meals out there, Cookie. Hope DH enjoys the change ... I find if you don't mention anything they don't always notice that there is no meat as the food is generally very tasty.

I've had a very productive day so far.
Did grocery shopping early, after putting it away and a quick coffee I got stuck in.
Made Chocolate Icecream for GK's tomorrow, I use Quirky Jo's chocolate mousse without the Avocado.
Tenina's Landsdale Curry Powder
Spinach Soup
Spicy Carrot Salad & Broccoli Salad for tonight's dinner. We are having Salmon with it.
Clean Raspberry Jam.
Now have my feet up for a while.

Judy, Clean Raspberry Jam is Paleo friendly (not that I'm following a Paleo diet).
It is basically just the fruit (500 gms fresh or frozen thawed)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon coconut sugar &
2 Tablespoons chia seeds.
The chia seeds act as the thickener.

Judy, it is sweet enough for me, Raspberries are a little on the tart side, but I don't mind that. I was tempted to add a 2 nod teaspoon of coconut sugar for DH benefit, but he liked it as is. The recipe and cooking time is on the community if you are interested.

I don't make a lot of jam Katj but I thought this recipe would be suitable for diabetics. I know a few.

Made 2 loaves of SD bread yesterday. Prepared the dough before we went to Melb, but the white one started to rise too quickly so popped in fridge. The Rye one was fine. When we got home I took the white one out of fridge and it sat on bench while I baked the Rye loaf. It was perfect.
I got impatient waiting for the White to prove properly so bunged it in the oven. It grew and grew, cracking along one side. Obviously not ready for the oven. However still OK when cut.
Uni, the Jumbo tin I bought from AA measures 26 cm bottom x 28 top x 10 x10 cm depth and width. It has a slide on lid.
Today will be making Leek and Cauliflower soup, and Chinese Pepper Steak from Recipe tin eats Blog.
