Astarra, don't knock it with all those apples.  We only got 4 apples this year.
There is a lot of processing to do.
Save all the skins and pips, you can freeze them, and make Apple jelly when the girls are back at school.
I would bottle some in Dolimo type jars. Can do a few at a time in the microwave.
Do you have one of those gadgets where you turn the handle and it peels, cores and slices all in one go.  My GC love this machine.
It all takes time.

Great cooking Kimmy  :D

Only made 4 dozen muffins -apple & carrot (from Mrs D + 3) and raspberry and white choc chip (ACW recipe on here)
plus 2 of Chelsea's apple tea cakes (on here plus in Devil cookbook)

Should do next weeks lunchboxes before the school holidays!! - tho has hardly made a dent in my apples .... I have 4 buckets and two big bags of them inside, plus a tree loaded!! Not called apple isle for nothing  ;)
Is there a farm or business near you that could press your apples to make apple juice for you Astarra.I have friends who have excess apples in Autumn and they do this.

Lovely food Kim.
Astarra that is a lot of apples. I'm sure you will do them justice though.
No cooking here, only dinner.

I had some lamb shank sauce in the freezer so today I fried up some mince and added the sauce.  Was looking forward to having some for tea with mash & veggies tonight but my DD rang to invite me to join them for a meal at a hotel halfway between them and me so how could I say no to that.

Totally agree Judy
Really haven't cooked much we've moved out for 3 months to do renovations and I'm struggling with the kitchen we've got in the rental  small and not what I'm used to

I would have done the same Judy. I'm sure you enjoyed it.
Suzanne they must be major renovations. I think it is probably a good idea to move out. A friend stayed at home and cooked on a camp stove in the garage for about 6 months. She got rather fed up.

Yes pretty major new flooring throughout finally getting rid of the slate a few walls knocked down ,new doors, a bigger pantry, ensuite and make Lily's room a little bigger plus a new entertaining area out the front hopefully the council plays nice. We stayed when we did the kitchen and that was bad enough   can't wait to get back home it's a little small this house we're renting

I had a good time with the kids, we didn't catch up for Easter so they bought along a bag of choccy things for me, Geoff & Mum. I gave them money instead of choccies, they get too many of them.  GD is saving for a Fitbit and GS is saving for a Ferrari LOL.

Your renovated house sounds great suzanne, bear with the inconvenience as it will all be worth it.

Nice to catch up with your family Judy.

Suzanne, the renovations sound good. It will be like moving into a new house.

Good on the GC Judy. When GS gets his Ferrari I will fill it up with fuel for him, if he takes me for a ride.
