Thanks for the meal planner, Cookie.  I will TRY to be good in 2017 and organise all my meals in a logical way - we'll see how long that lasts.

Made KFC chicken nuggets with 2 second salad. Salad Mayo made with Aquafaba tasted just like what they serve at KFC shops. No added sugar though. Have just been reading that Chick peas have a natural sweetness.

That is a lot of quarters Chookie.
I was fooling around on the ipad this morning and came across a multigrain loaf you tube with Louise Fulton Keats and someone else using Lighthouse flour. It looked interesting so I made it. I liked the idea that all the grains/seeds except pepitas and sunflowers were milled.

I also have some Almond Shortbread resting in the fridge.

That loaf sounds nice Cookie.
I made the Pizzelli as I had a lot of eggs. They took  dozen.
It is time to do an exchange for some chook food, so several bags of these, some fresh eggs and lettuce from the garden.
DD was telling me about a small group of people who live in a country town , not far from Ballarat, who refuse to go to the Supermarket. Between them they supply all their food needs. One grows most of the veggies, another supplies milk and beef. Another lamb and another grows grain and chickpeas. They all have chooks. They make butter. They bottle lots of fruit and even spaghetti in tomato sauce.  Sounds good to me.

It certainly does sound a lovely group. Imagine swapping or bartering for most things.

I would love it but not close enough and I suspect that one would have to be invited. The Woodend Farmers Market is probably the closest I can manage.
I would love to have a Farm Gate stall but life is too unsettled to seriously think about this.
I am finding my Supermarket bill is over the top and am trying to do something about it. May settle down now we are over Xmas.

You have a ot of visitors Chookie, that has to impact on your grocery bill and Christmas time is very difficult to keep within our budgets.
