I made Lentil Soup with the stock that I saved after cooking a ham this week.I also made Overnight Oats to enjoy for breakfast tomorrow.

Great cooking girls. It is inspiring to see what everyone is cooking.
Cookie, I bought DIL a book on varieties of Magic Cakes for Xmas.
Last night I made some blanched almonds coated in pesto. Made the pesto in TMX, stirred the pesto into the Almonds and dried them in the oven.
Didn't dry and crisp as well as I would have liked so left in oven over night. Might have to give them a go in the AF at low temperature.

I had a good run with the cooking today; two new recipes - Spanish Chickpea and Spinach Stew and Tomato Pasta Bake with Garlicky Crumb Topping, then a 'nearly new' one, Lentil Kumara and Chickpea Stew.  Tomorrow I'm making a Butter Bean Salad and I found an interesting vegan recipe called Sharp White Cheese Sauce which I might have a go at as well if I don't run out of time.

Chookie what made you do the almonds? Had you tasted them somewhere?

Wow Marina, that all sounds very nice.
Cookie, I bought 170 g packet of Pesto Almonds for $12. Ridiculous price but I knew if I had a packet I could probably flavour match them.
I picked most of the Basil from the garden, added some home grown garlic paste , olive oil and salt. I Zapped the lot in the TMX to make a chunky paste and then mixed this with the blanched almonds.
I spread the almonds on an oven tray and baked at 350 for about 30 minutes , turning the about 3 times. Left in turned off oven over night . Turned out perfect.
DD turned up unexpectedly for dinner last night . Made a salad and added some of the Almonds.
The almonds cost $17 a kilo. ,!
I did the same when I wanted to make flavoured nut butter. The TMX is amazing in efficiant for nut butter.

You are a clever Chookie Chookie. I was amazed to listen to you and Tenina at lunch over the Gracetown weekend discussing the Wattle seed bread. We are lucky to be able to benefit  from your skills.

I made some bread today, the Classic Loaf, and some Soba Noodles for dinner.

Thanks for the compliments but what I really enjoy is being able to use the TMX to make things that cost a fortune , and shouldn't.
I also like to stretch the possibilities of the TMX.
