Your SD in the bread machine looks great Chookie. How could anyone say no to scones, jam and cream?

Another SD loaf in Bread Machine. It takes us 3 days for us to eat 1 loaf so I give the others away.  DD got yesterday’s.  The thing I like about this way of making a SD loaf is it is mixed first thing in the morning and then baked in late afternoon.  The slices also fit beautifully in the toaster.  It is a 800 gram loaf.  Of all the SD loaf recipes that I have created for the TMX, this is the one I am most proud of.   When I researched SD on Google there was not one recipe ( for Bread Machine) that didn’t contain yeast. This produces a well textured loaf with just 1 rise.

I made a Classic loaf yesterday and today prepared the mix for the SD Batard and popped that in the fridge. I have a Date and Walnut loaf in the oven at the moment. I made a batch of Christmas Cake muffins the other day but they went quickly.

I'm making some chicken stock. I always use the veggie stock concentrate but decided I'd give this a try. It's not Tenina's recipe but one I found in a TMix + magazine.

Cookie chicken stock is so nice but I use the vegetable stock all the time . Pears ; pear and yogurt muffins from recipe community, stewed pears for breakfast , spiced pear jam from Cookidoo. The muffins Oops I ate one , meant for the boys at cricket tomorrow morning um that might be a problem oh well . DH likes stewed pears on his cereal . The spiced pear jam with a touch of saffron looked interesting. The pear tree is dropping about 5 a day at the moment so I thought they needed using now .

I heard about a place not too far away that sold fresh yeast so I went down and bought some. I now have a New York rye bread rising.

K Atie, it is so nice to be able to use your own fresh fruit. Go for it.
We are having visitors tomorrow.  I am making picnic sandwiches for all.  We are going to a Ballarat park to watch GD in the Highland Gathering, playing the Bagpipes.
Fillings for sandwiches.  Cheese and salad,  chicken bacon and Avacado with TMX mayo., curried egg and lettuce, ham and mustard pickles.  Also making Cardamon biscuits and Mabs Date and Walnut Cake.
