The Wonton soup sounds yum, will add it to next week's menu plan. :D

Cookie, so pleased you have a second bowl,  I use mine all the time.   I'm just going to hide the lids of my TMX when we go away as they (family and friends) can't use it without the lid. ;D ;D ;D

Mmmm pumpkin soup for my lunch. Instead of adding cream I add a tin of tomato soup, it makes the soup taste so much more yummier, and it makes it go a little further. I have yet to come up with a substitute that is just as tasty but without the preservatives.

Megan - miszuna? what's that?

It's a Japanese leaf / salad veg with a mustardy flavour.  Great especially when the leaves are small.

Thanks heaps for that. I will have to give it a go. Sounds pretty easy. I am making soup quite often because it has been so frosty cold lately so I should be able to refine the art by the end of winter!! :)

I made an orange cake today - used a Stephanie Alexander recipe where she makes it in a food processor.  It was great as everything was mixed together within 40 seconds in the TMX.  Mixed butter, orange juice, eggs and sugar 20 secs, then added sr flour and beat another 20 secs.  All done!  Photo attached.

Thanks for answering Thermomixer. My Mizuna was a little large for salad use, but thrown in the risotto, it was fine.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Today I have made Chicken Kiev, pasta & cauliflower cheese bake, caramel custard and a vegie soup to clear out the crisper.

Good work with all that cooking.  Cauli bake - that sounds good.  Need to eat more marmalade.  MrsT has taken pumpkin soup out of the freezer.
