Marina, small gestures give great pleasure when things are miserable.
I didn’t get all my cooking completed yesterday.  Today maybe?

I made some Cheese Pide to have with soup last night. They were very tasty.
Today I made a slice from Not Nigella. Se gies thermomix instructions too. I used blackberry jam instead of apricot. https://www.notquitenigella.com/2021/07/16/apricot-jam-slice/
The pide are from Instagram but I will try and fed the recipe elsewhere to link.

Oh yum, anything with pastry looks good to me.

Chookie lemon barley cordial , wow I’d forgotten about that , think I’ll have to find it as DH drinks a lot of elderflower cordial from the supermarket so this would be even better. Hoping teens will make something today as they are eating like crazy . DS helped make beef pies in the pie maker , with last night best beef pie leftovers.

K Atie, I will try and convert the recipe for the cordial to TMX.

Made some lovely soup yesterday. Pumpkin, Cauli and carrot.  Cooked in chicken stock with added white pepper and nutmeg.  I made the stock from leftover chicken bones from a roast. Love my TMX for the ease with which it produces creamy soups.

K Atie, try RTE's potato and leek soup - my DH loves it.  I don't zap it till it is smooth as he likes a few lumpy bits of potato to chomp on.

I often only partly zap my soups. It’s nice to have lumps sometimes.

There is such variety in soup that I never get tired of it.  Sometimes I make a clear chicken broth , add a bit of green stuff and some of those mini chicken dim sims. Probably not the healthiest.  Bread  today as yesterday I gave away all the bread in the freezer.
RAL needed more honey and we had run out of our honey from our bees.  We did a quick trip to our bee keeper, ( it’s food after all ) He looks after us and has 2 teenager boys. I found SD crumpets, fruit buns and Brioche rolls.  Added several jars of jam and sauce.  Nice to share homemade stuff.

Last night I cooked a whole chicken in pot on stove , so now I have a huge batch of chicken stock . Might use some for potato and leek soup . DS lockdown Boredom used the Aldi smiley pancake pan to cook his eggs .. really !! The two of them were laughing , it did work .

That’s lovely KAtie.
I had a cook in today. Mainly in preparation to go away. I made a rye SD loaf, a Classic loaf, some flatbreads, biscuits and a mango fruit cake. We have a run all day tomorrow so I had to do it today.
Also some mixed berry jam.

What a busy, productive day, Cookie, you must have been sick of cooking by the end of it.
