Veggie soup to use up all the bits and pieces in the crisper plus this SC curried chicken
https://www.slowcookercentral.com/recipe/easy-creamy-chicken-curry/
. I’ve put the chicken into a takeaway container and covered it with some sauce for SIL’s next visit as I only wanted the sauce to try over pasta or some garlic rice I have in the freezer.

It smells lovely cookie, will have some tomorrow. I used 4 chicken drumsticks (took the skin off) then removed the meat from the bones for SIL - a cheap, easy meal which make plenty of sauce so there are many meals one way or another in this batch.

I decided to make the Christmas pudding today. Unfortunately when I checked the water level in the pot I found I had put the mixture in the wrong steamer and it had leaked out into the pot of boiling water. I rescued as much as I could from the steamer and put it into the right one and continued cooking. We won't be having that one for Christmas lunch so I will put it in the freezer and have it during the year. Now I just l have to make another one.

You’re being very organised early Margaret. Pity the first pudding went awry.

Judy, I always make my Christmas pudding in October and keep it in the freezer. That way I know it is done and it's one less thing to worry about. My recipe is my Mum's and is for a light pudding.
After this one was cooked, I tried a little bit and it's a bit doughy so I will just make another one at the week end.

What a nuisance Mab. However you get to eat this one as well now.
I didn’t cook anything today.

I made my 2nd Christmas pudding today then made some vegan meringues and 6 cheats custard tarts. I didn't take a photo of them as I'm ashamed to say I used packet items.

Both these item look great Margaret as I’m sure the custard tarts did also. There’s no shame in using packet items.

I made a Classic Loaf, another enormous seeded loaf for DH and some Polish Rolls or Bialys to go with the Cookidoo Tuscan soup. All very nice.

After getting home following our weekend at a music festival, I managed to make an acceptable pot of soup / stew (I m not quite sure which I ended up with) with the aid of big packet of frozen veges and anything else I could find in my cupboard.

They are often the best meals Marina. I’ve made some more yoghurt, mixed berry jam, thermomix scones and some of RTE Byron Bay Macadamia and Chocolate biscuits.

After catching up on the lovely food everyone is cooking, I can’t wait to settle into my new kitchen and cook.
I have managed a few things. I made some White sauce using Cookidoo, double lot of my Surprise biscuits, several loaves of bread, roasted a duck, several lots of soup.
As there is no garden at our new house , I’ve been making minced up herb mixtures. I pick lots of herbs from the garden and mix with a little olive oil and mince in TMX. I freeze flat in sandwich bags. When frozen, I pinch of a bit to add to soup, garlic butter anything that needs a kick.
( the carriers who we have employed to shift will take the 2 upright freezers with the food still in them. ) I’ve emptied and sold one other freezer.
