No cooking happening here.

Orange Marmalade with added Cognac. Delicious.
Lots of people give me jars for jam. One jar still had the label on. Pomegranate and Gin Paste. I’m going to try making some today.
Also made batch of SD crumpets. 4 cups makes 22 crumpets.

I made these Almond Biscuits from RTE. They had 4 teaspoons of baking powder, it was too much. https://www.recipetineats.com/cretan-biscuits-greek-almond-cookies/

Adapted the ingredients for the Pomegranate and Gin paste. Probably not the same but very nice. Base orange marmalade with Pomegranate juice and lemon juice as liquid. Also  had Rosemary and a pinch of chilli flakes. The added Gin didn’t do much for it. Might try the next lot with Whiskey.

I made some Florentines from Cookidoo, I didn't put the chocolate on them. A rye SD loaf (still rising) and a Spicy Fruit loaf from Cookidoo.

Cookie, I love Florentines, made with flaked almonds, not cornflakes.
DS and DIL coming to visit tomorrow.  I’m making the apple cakes from my blog. I’ll replace one of the apples with rhubarb from my garden. We are going to a new Thai restaurant for lunch.

Warn sweet potato and lentil salad; tomatoey smoked chick peas; roast veg frittata; shepherdess' pie (not a shepherds pie because mine was meat-free!)
Marina from Melbourne and Guildford

DS didn’t come as he has a bug. DIL and I went for lunch to new Thai restaurant. Very nice. My NBN modem died and DIL installed new one and the reattached all the devices.
Yesterday I experimented with some jam. Blood Orange and Cognac. Very very nice. DIL bought me a funnel that fits on the TMX lid and diverts the steam to the exhaust fan. This is the best accessory that I have for the TMX.
