Yesterday I tried 2 new recipes. Bills Banana muffins, ( I added Lindt chocolate ), and Jill’s corn muffins. Both taste tested and delicious. I’m having a campaign trying to not waste any food. Only 2 Banana muffins and 4 savoury muffins left. GC will take these for morning tea at work. I used yogurt in stead of Sour Cream in both recipes. I remember Cookie doing this.
The Banana recipe was for a loaf, but I find it more useful to turn recipes into muffins.

Sausage and beans bake, vege stew, Alyce Alexandra's low carb granola - this next one is not an edible, soap scum remover (for shower screens, etc.).

I was going to make marry me butter beans, but won't have time.

Beef casserole, vegetable soup and a boiled fruit cake.  DS is home from Qld and is batching so I gave the cake with him  to have in his lunches.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Yesterday I bought 2 roast chickens from woolies for $5 each. The had the seasoned skin burnt. I removed the skin, separated flesh from bones and made stock with carcasses. Now I have to decide what to do with the chicken.

Melbourne family coming for lunch today. Morning tea, Nay Nay Scones.Lunch Turkey breast schnitzel, mashed potato and silverbeet from garden. Apple slice.
Went out with Probus last week, several members  ordered an Apple slice. Apparently it is an old recipe made with a base of cake mix( added coconut and butter) tinned apples mixed with sour cream. Topped with nutmeg . Baked. Will give it a go and report back.

It sounds nice Chookie.
I went looking for a Banana Bread recipe that we could toast. I used the one on here. I’ve just had a piece toasted in the MW toaster from KMart. It was rather nice. Not overly crispy, but tasty.

Cookie, sounds nice. Several people had toasted banana bread on outing with Probus. It was toasted in a toaster press. It that what you used?
Lunch out with Book Club , so just soup for Dinner.
I’m making Lemon Butter for neighbours, also RTE Charlie sauce for neighbours.

Yes that was what we used Chookie. I’d hate to try it in the toaster. 😀😀😀😀
I made some No Fuss rolls for dinner tonight and a Classic loaf.
