Cookie you are embracing your new ninja BBQ . I called in at Wilson’s and got a chuck rib eye roast (which was delicious ) and saw split chickens nearly got one  to do the same cook and have cold later .

KAtie, I also bought one of those roasts from Wilson’s. Popped it in the freezer.

You’re certainly doing well with that Ninja Chookie. Lots of nice cooking going on ladies.

Chookie the chuck rib eye was good , it did have some fat in the middle but that also made it moist .

I made 3 lots of shortbread today. The traditional thermomix ones, then some Tia Maria flavoured ones, then cherry brandy and cherry ones. I also made a rich, boiled fruit cake. I will see what it’s like tomorrow when it’s cool.
Some of the shortbread spread a bit, but still taste nice.

Cookie, those cookies look very nice. Interesting mix of flavours. I made some Irish cream. Looking for ways to use it. Very very strong. I used whiskey instead of Brandy. I think this is why it’s so strong.

Over the weekend I made the 5th and last Christmas pudding, this one is going to Qld. next week.  I also made an Aberdeen Sausage / meat loaf to have as cold meat.  Today I made some Spiced Shortbread from Recipe Community.  It's quite nice but next time I will add a bit more sugar.

Marina, this is my mum's recipe so it is probably the same as your mum's

Chookie, Aberdeen Sausage is a very old Scottish recipe made with lean minced steak and bacon, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley etc.  I only use the tmx for the breadcrumbs and bacon, the rest I do in a bowl.  There is a recipe on the recipe community that is similar to mine with some difference in the quantities.  I cook mine in a pudding steamer on the stove.

Should make a second for DD when she gets home in the new year !! But I ran out of golden raisins.. they are very hard to find . Coles had melady raisins , but none now . Now if I think about it I use to find them a few months before Christmas!!
