Love the look of your mustard Zan. I also had this in mind when I purchased my TM. Did you get the recipe on line. I would love a copy if you did.

I have some rolls rising for lunch for guests and for sweets we'll have a fruit salad sorbet. It's just a ham and salad roll lunch.

I too would love the recipe for the seeded mustard please  ;D

I've made the philly cheese this morning and it's now setting in the fridge.  Had a taste of what was left in the bowl and it does taste like Philly, yippee.

Tomorrow I plan on making a mango cheesecake (Nigella) using it, so will report back on what it's actually like then.  :)

Julie, i made the philly cheese a couple of weeks ago and it was really nice ;D
I found the quark and it was $4.99 each for 250g, so it wasn't any cheaper than buying it.  It was really easy to make though.
I'm going to the local spud shed today and ill see if they do it and if its any cheaper.
Hope your cheesecake turns out and is yummy.  Anything with mango goes down well in this household

Julia the Jandakot Spud Shed had mangoes for $1.49 yesterday. They would be just right for a cheesecake. Much better than their last price of $3.49.

Good to hear it's nice.  I was lucky enough to find 450g tubs of Paris Creek quark marked down to $2.86 per tub a couple of days ago so I bought 2.  Used one today and I think I'll buy more light sour cream tomorrow and use up the other tub.  I think it will freeze okay, well I hope so anyway.   :-))   :)

Thanks Cookie, I went to the one next to the Wanneroo markets, just realized today that it's called Wanneroo growers market but it's very much like the spud shed In pinjarra.
I got mangoes for $1.49 each yum. I also got bananas for $1.99 kilo, thought I'd get a load and when the kids won't eat them anymore cos they are brown, I'll freeze them as prices will go up very soon I'm sure! The kids love their smoothies!
I finally found the quark but it was more expensive than the local iga!!!
I did pick up 2 punnets of strawberries for 99c each which I might turn into jam.

That's what I love about this forum. You find a margin at the markets or supermarket and you know you can buy it and the forum will have some great recipes in there for how to use it. Since having my TM and being on this forum I'm again inspired to be creative in my cooking.

Tonight we had Babi pong tay from the 2011 calendar (thanks Merlin) and it was excellent.  I had 4 pork spare ribs so what I did tonight was virtually 1/3 of the recipe for 2 people - served with farfallina's Easy Light Pilaf with some steamed vegies tossed through. Roasted some cashews to sprinkle over the top.
I used the liquid the shitake mushrooms had been soaking in, mixed it with a little cornflour and added with 2 minutes to go to make more sauce.  This probably wouldn't be necessary if you are using the full quantity of meat (1kg) as the bowl would be full of water for that amount of meat and there would probably be plenty of sauce.  I only cooked mine for 30 minutes, not 45 minutes. Tender as  ;)  5/5 from us.
