I was supposed to have a party a couple of weeks ago when they had all the specials on the pantry stuff, but it clashed with everyones plans. But still ordered one of the packs because of the huge savings  :o - although would have loved the host gifts too.

We have a great consultant here - she keeps an eye on the specials for each week/month and lets me know so i can adjust the date accordingly. Funnily she keeps sending me info on becoming a Tupperware consultant and I get the odd phone call inviting me to their open nights.. LOL

well I got the cheesecake and the gluten free bread done so far... and just doing a cherry coulis for the cheesecake as we speak.  I'm a bit worried though as the cheesecake is supposed to be cooled in the fridge for several hours before serving and time is quickly running out...  :-[

God, I feel so slack.
I haven't used the TM for nearly a week!
Big plans for tomorrow to make pizza scrolls to freeze for the kids school lunches and I have been eyeing off the picture of the black bottomed cheesecake, too!

Hey Karen, I feel slack too.  I did use it for some banana daiquiris tonight, but I have made delicious Hainan chicken for dinner tonight, I'm not sure if I could modify that for the thermomix

Brilliant!  Simple but very effective.  I like it.

Aren't those blue Tupperware mixing bowls great for raising the bread in.  That's pretty much all mine gets used for now - so handy!

and I have been eyeing off the picture of the black bottomed cheesecake, too!

The cheese cake went down very well.  I only got a tiny taste due the whole dairy thing  :-X

Now have beef stroganoff in the TMX for a quick dinner after work tomorrow night.

Today I've got a seasoned chicken and vegies cooking in the slow cooker (from the information supplied by Karen), made a spinach and rice pie and a curried tuna.  DH reckons he should get paid for being the official tester in the house.  Have posted the pie and curry in their respective places.  This lot will probably last the 2 of us for the remainder of the week.

When I were lad .....  Have to agree, the better supermarkets around Melbourne are in areas where there is competition.  The quality and variety varies so much between suburbs too-especially with different ethnic mixes.

We also have good markets.  Talking to Nico and the Perthites here, we are much better off in Melbourne for variety and choice.

I loved the market in Melbourne - I went there every week to do my food shopping.  Don't think I ever went near a supermarket, as far as I remember, anyway.  It was bliss.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!
